I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Slalom (New York, NY) in Jan 2015
Interview
he interview process was not bad in terms of time - took a couple of months from initial coffee discussion to final round- however, the hiring process was drawn out. Although Slalom indicated their interest in extending an offer, receiving an official one took a couple of months.
Interviews were skills, experienced, and competency-based. I believe there is also a cultural fit component. Everyone I met with was absolutely wonderful - friendly, easygoing, made me feel comfortable - and made the wait worth it. I'm very happy with the choice I made to join Slalom.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Leadership and teamwork qualities on last project.
Mostly standard consulting interview questions: ask about your past work experience, what were the difficulties and how you overcame these difficulties, etc. Overall process took a little bit longer than expected due to difficulty to get interviewers' availability.
Recruiter screening focused on background and fit, followed by a hiring manager interview assessing technical and consulting skills, and a final director round evaluating strategic thinking, communication, and overall alignment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Slalom (Santa Monica, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
Initial HR interview then interview with hiring manager and then never heard again from the company. Reached out multiple times for follow up on whether moving forward or not, and never got a response. Job posting still on.
