Interview
The interview process consisted of preliminary screening conversations with HR/recruiting, then went to a dedicated phone interview, and concluded with a onsite panel with three additional interviews. The first three calls were with a corporate-based talent/recruiter and was very enjoyable two-way conversation explaining information about the firm, answering my questions, and of course asking about my background and interests to complete a very comfortable pre-screen. The second call was with the local talent/recruiter that explained detail about the market, the office, some more detail about the role, and more of the standard screening questions. Again, this was a very easy conversation and presented a great first impression of Slalom. The phone interview and panel were fair, with different approaches based on the personality of the interviewer, but again in a positive and open environment that was a pleasant change from some other interviews and/or processes I've experienced. There were definitely difficult questions and case-type scenarios, but for a properly prepared candidate with the experience, they were definitely fair.

Mostly standard consulting interview questions: ask about your past work experience, what were the difficulties and how you overcame these difficulties, etc. Overall process took a little bit longer than expected due to difficulty to get interviewers' availability.
Recruiter screening focused on background and fit, followed by a hiring manager interview assessing technical and consulting skills, and a final director round evaluating strategic thinking, communication, and overall alignment.

Initial HR interview then interview with hiring manager and then never heard again from the company. Reached out multiple times for follow up on whether moving forward or not, and never got a response. Job posting still on.
