I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2022
Interview
It was great. Very communicative. Their recruitment team was always reaching out and checking on me. I did a panel interview and the panelists were fair but tough which is what you want when trying to find good talent.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Slalom (Melbourne) in Apr 2022
Interview
The first thing that I loved about the interview process is that I wasn't being interviewed for a very set position. Slalom was interested in my skills and how they could be used within the company as opposed to trying to shoehorn me into a position where some skills may match and some may not. It made me feel like I could talk more openly about my experiences and not think about how I had to craft answers to fit into exactly what I thought the company was looking for from me.
I also felt very comfortable in the interviews, as they're all set up like conversations. I didn't feel bombarded with questions or feel on edge at all. Everyone from HR to the Sr Principal to the Director to the Sr Director were all open and friendly and were more than happy to answer any questions i had. It was clear that there was a big focus on people-first, and now that I have been with Slalom for a few weeks, I can see how prevalent it is in the culture.
