It seemed like they were mainly looking for people with business development experience and could work the 20 hours. Then moved to a technical interview that was more about my previous experience. In person was at their Hollywood office with two sets of two interviewers. Because of the questions asked during my interview, Slickdeals came off to me as exclusively money-focused and opposed to anyone with interests outside of that. One interviewer clearly stated that people take what they learn from this internship to progress in their career paths, whether at Slickdeals or elsewhere, but their constant questions about my alignment of personal interests to the job seemed like they were looking for people to transition from the internship to working full-time which would have been understandable if they were upfront about it. Overall, I have a negative impression of the company as they seemed to dislike my cultural and environmental interests so I am wondering what personality fit they were looking for their business development team.
