I initially made contact with Slickdeals through a recruiter. The listing had a salary range, and when they asked my requirements they were within that that range; somewhere in the upper quartile. They arranged a phone interview with a manager. I spoke with him and he asked very few questions and didn't really get into much depth about anything. The interview seemed to have gone well, but strangely unchallenging. He said he would pass his feedback and my resume along to the hiring manager. I got feedback about a week later that my salary requirement was too high. I kind of wonder if they were even really trying to hire. And I saw continued postings for the same position for months thereafter.
