I sent in my resume to apply for the Business Development Associate role and did not hear back from anyone for over 2 weeks. I then followed up with the e-mail address where I submitted my resume. The hiring manager then reached out to me about a phone screen. Phone screen went well but did not hear back from the hiring manager. Sent a followup e-mail to the hiring manager and was told that he wanted to bring me into the office to interview with himself and other employees. I had a couple rounds of in person interviews with multiple members of the team. During my in person interviews, I was told that my salary requirements were high but that possibly equity could be negotiated. I interviewed with 2 members from different teams for cultural purposes. I did not hear back for another week or so and decided to follow up with the hiring manager. The hiring manager told me that he wanted me to have a phone interview with another member of his team. I then had my phone interview and was told that I would hear back from the hiring manager. A couple weeks went by and I again had to follow up with the hiring manager. The hiring manager said that I was not a fit for the team at this time. I understand that Slickdeals is a small company but was disappointed with the lack of communication in regards to status updates and compensation structure.
