Applied through the website for the new TN location. A local recruiter called me back and had an interview that discussed my background. Told me the next step would be to do a teams interview with the hiring manager who is currently based in MA. Told me hiring manager still hasn’t confirmed to company if they are relocating to TN but either way is directly involved in screening candidates. Also stated the work culture is sensitive at the moment since many people in MA aren’t moving and are upset at losing their jobs. I don’t understand how then someone in this category is interviewing candidates in TN since they haven’t confirmed if they are relocating. This appears to be a conflict and probably explains why they are declining or ghosting highly qualified candidates for finance and accounting roles. Overall the recruiter nor the hiring manager never called me back and just ghosted me. I fit all the requirements and skills and it’s terrible that this is how the company treats qualified candidates in such an unprofessional manner. Eastern TN doesn’t have the same population of job candidates that MA has. Many candidates are very young and recent graduates from the local state colleges who would not have the ability or experience to be successful in a NASDAQ company in these. HQ roles.
