      Operations Manager Interview

      Jun 14, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Smithbucklin (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2014

      Interview

I was recruited from an outside agency. It was client specific, and was directly related to my past work history. Multiple phone interviews, followed by two separate in-person interviews, one with with a group, and one with the unit director. It was very thorough, and they explored my past history, as well as my future career goals.

      Application

      I interviewed at Smithbucklin

      Interview

Had a great interview with a senior HR person over the phone. She was knowledgeable, asked great questions and gave me a ton of information on the company, role, team and culture. She was very passionate about the company, I could feel her passion over the phone. In addition, I felt she really dug deep into my background, experiences and what I would be looking for in a full time role. So often it is only about what the company needs. All in all great experience!

      Operations Manager Interview

      Jan 27, 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Washington, DC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smithbucklin (Washington, DC) in Mar 2011

      Interview

The interview process for me was pretty seamless and easy. However, when I am hiring for associates, it's difficult to find good candidates. They also have to meet a lot of people because I, as the manager, am not given autonomy to do the hiring. I can see how it would be daunting for associates.
