I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Smithbucklin in Aug 2014
Interview
I had been emailed by a recruiter for a phone interview, which was the first step in the process. During my phone interview, the recruiter was very nice and asked all of the standard questions (i.e.: walk me through your resume, why do you want to change positions, ect.). After our phone interview, I was told that I would go in for a skills test, as well as interview with three managers, and that I would receive confirmation of the date by the end of the week. I never received a confirmation. Word to the wise: Even if they say that they are bringing you in for a second interview, you may not hear back.

There was a phone interview first. It was conversational, covering basic questions; "why do you want to work here...etc". After that, there is a skills test and then an in person interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smithbucklin in Oct 2019
Interview
Overall, interview was great because of preparation. Interviewer was very polite, engaged, and just seemed in all interested in getting to know more about me and why I wanted the position. It was about 45 minutes over the phone, and the call was on time. Never asked anything that I did not expect an interviewer to ask, again because of preparation. At the end of the interview I was asked about salary desire and what the next steps were, which is a good sign. Ended up getting the second part of the interview, which was the accounting assessment. Basic accounting questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smithbucklin (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2015
Interview
The interviews were pretty standard. Met with several different people who were able to offer insight into the position and company. Very friendly people, and they all seemed to love their job. I get the impression that it is a great place to work, and that management truly cares about you. They didn't throw me any curveballs, and we're very quick and getting back to me.
