I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Smithbucklin (Washington, DC) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was organized and moved fairly quickly. After submitting my application, I was contacted for a Zoom interview with a recruiter and a hiring manager. The conversation lasted around 45 minutes and covered my portfolio, work experience, and alignment with Smithbucklin's culture and client base.
The interviewer was professional and pleasant. He asked thoughtful questions about my background and gave a good overview of the role’s expectations. However, the decision timeline was very fast, and it felt like there may have already been a strong internal candidate considered for the role.
I appreciated that they acknowledged my experience and provided a polite follow-up communication after the interview. Overall, the experience was positive, but it seemed more procedural than exploratory, and candidates should be aware that internal applicants may be part of the process.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself? Explain your work history.
2 phone interviews and then an email asking me when I was available to interview with the hiring manager. I was ghosted after replying with my availability and followed up to still get no response. Interviewer was also late to initial interview. Just super unprofessional overall.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smithbucklin
Interview
Pretty quick, three interviews: phones, zoom, final in person interview. Questions were thought out and made sense, employees were able to answer questions in detail about the company and the role. However, where my recruiter was in touch I was told three weeks to hear back from the company on a decision. It's been four weeks now and I have been trying to reach my recruiter and left a message to call back, hear absolutely nothing. Really unprofessional!
