I applied online. I interviewed at Snap Finance (Salt Lake City, UT) in Feb 2026
Interview
Worst recruiter. Received a zoom video interview link but the interviewer Lucas Brim had the camera turned off saying he was not feeling well and offered me the option to turn off the camera as well, but I continued with the camera on. Just asked basic questions. But Lucas was so racist, that he shared my details with his friend Coral Wolff, who doesn't even work at this company, and had her double check my work authorization status by contacting me directly.

Just standard recruiter questions - skills, salary, relocation, interview process, etc.
1 hr phone call with the hiring manager followed by the most bizarre and awkward technical interview of my life. The technical interview questions were very theoretical and unrelated to what a data scientist actually does while also being poorly suited for a virtual interview (think undergraduate calculus but with no whiteboard). One of my interviewers bailed early too, which I thought was rude and unprofessional. The recruiter was good though, and did reach out afterwards.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Snap Finance in Jul 2021
Interview
The process was very long.
1. Video call with recruiter
2. Conversation with HM (who actually was not HM)
3. Take home assessment
4. Presentation and QA session revolving your assessment with a panel of 4
5. Conversation with director (was supposed to be final round)
6. Conversation with HM ( Breezy call nothing intense, I was sure I will get it)
Rejection email with no feedback on following up twice.
