Company is looking for a specific type of person and can't think outside of the box. If you don't have an advance degree in computer science. Don't waste your time. Phone interview was fine. But in person interview was a pain. Two part process where first part is program a singly linked list from scratch in Java or C while connected to a projector and being questioned for every little detail you type. Makes thinking very difficult and constantly being questioned for the details worse. The second interview was if you have a robot how would you have it get from its start point to desired point using certain sensors. It was a fun exercise and that's about it. Whole process made me feel like it was a waste and they were wasting my time because I didn't fit their usual profile of an employee. Being innovative means thinking differently than the crowd and you will never achieve that if you keep on hiring the same ole computer science major from the local university.
