I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SolarCity (Washington, DC) in Nov 2016
Interview
Very professional phone interview. I would love to work for this company! Solar City called back quickly and I could see that they viewed my resume online. They explained the process to me and allowed me to ask lots of questions. I hopefully will work for them very soon.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SolarCity (Boston, MA) in Feb 2016
Interview
Very unorganized interview process. Was contacted by several different recruiters who each made mistakes with setting up meetings at the correct location with the correct manager. I went to an interview at 2 different locations were each manager expressed wanting to offer a position but I only ever heard back from a recruiter again asking me to go to a different location. There is a disconnect in the post interview process. I also was sent to an interview at a job fair being held at a hotel, upon arriving I was told that there was no one there qualified to interview me for the outside sales position, only the inside sales position, and the names that the recruiter gave me were for managers from out of state.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were no "difficult" interview questions, more of a conversation about my past experience and selling me on the position. It is a newer company(at least to the area) so a lot of the managers are new to the process.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SolarCity (Silver Spring, MD) in Jan 2016
Interview
I attended a hiring event at a local hotel hosted by Solar City. I was unimpressed by the appearance of the Managers and hiring employees. A very casual environment for such a sophisticated product.
