I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SolarCity in Apr 2015
Interview
I went into the interview expecting it to be a one on one interview, only to be overwhelmed by a group "interview" or rather presentation that lasted over and hour describing technicians and installers positions and background of the company. After watching the presentation the recruiter held individual interviews with people according to who came first. Each interview lasted 30 minutes. When I got to have my interview they offered/presented me with a totally different job than I had applied for saying they thought I was a better fit. Overall the interview was very mismanaged and disorganized.
