Interview
Very poor experience. Applied online, and got a response fairly quickly (1-2 days after) to schedule an interview with their HR person. After we scheduled she had to postpone it 1-2 times. Finally, when we talked she told me that the role of engineering manager in their organization is mainly a people manager role (which wasn't written like that in the job description), so I immediately said that I was not interested in being that. I applied because the job description on their website was about an engineering manager, not about the people manager. Anyway, I rate the recruitment process with zero. Very unprofessional and sick.
8 interviews - I was told that I successfully passed the process, only to be told a week later that the opening doesn't exist anymore. Very weird and not professional.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sonar in Feb 2025
Interview
Extremely easy and without any actual knowledge being tested, It didn't give me a feeling of speaking with anyone technically strong. I finished all the interview rounds, I was expecting a final feedback that never came. I was ghosted by the recruiter. I had to reach out to understand what was going on, I'm actually glad I didn't get an offer.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sonar (Geneva) in Jan 2025
Interview
Very professional and structured hiring process. You get a booklet (virtual) that described the process and the expectation at each interview steps. They require an on-site which is great IMO.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Management question, experience
- Designing a cloud system at scale
- Organization question: you have unlimited resources how do you setup your organization to develop the system you designed (awkward IMO)
- Lunch with some employees
