I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sonder (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
First call with recruiter, second call with hiring manager. Take home assignment and onsite.
After the call with the recruiter, they said they would get back to me within a couple of days. However, when a week went by, I sent a follow up email to which they never got back to me. Pretty ridiculous especially when I thought the interview went well on both ends. Disappointing.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sonder (Denver, CO) in Apr 2019
Interview
I spoke with a Recruiter and was immediately moved on to the "Challenge" phase. I had 48 hours to complete two assignments. I was called back within a few days with positive feedback and was moved forward to a video interview.
I then had an hour-long interview with the team lead and was told that I should expect to hear back by the end of that week. I emailed the recruiter after that time had passed but never got a response. They were great at communicating up to that point. It would have been nice to receive a response saying that I was not being moved forward in the process as opposed to not hearing anything at all. It did not come across as very professional or respectful of the time I had dedicated to the interview process.
