I'm not sure what other peoples experiences have been, but mine was...irritating. my first interview was with a recruiter over the phone. It actually went really well. I was scheduled for a second interview with a local team member the following week, and this is where things started to get a little weird. I was sent an email containing the link for my Zoom interview. I was scheduled for 11:00am. The day of my interview I hopped on the call at 10:45. I stayed on until noon and the person who was to interview me never showed. Now it gets even weirder. That same person emailed me an hour later saying they were sorry to see I missed my interview. I quickly emailed them back to say that was not the case. They told me they would contact the recruiter to reschedule. I want to point out that I also emailed the recruiter and they never once responded. At this point the person who was supposed to interview me was also taking their time getting back to me. It turned into a goose chase and I didn't hear back from them for a week before finally getting an email asking for availability. I told them what days I was free. My second second interview was supposed to be on Thursday June 23rd. It was not specified, nor did I receive any follow up email about whether this would be another zoom interview or a regular phone call. I had assumed the latter and was up at 10am. 11am rolls around, I'm waiting, and nothing. 11:30, still nothing. By noon I've given up and chalked this up to some divine intervention and that I'm apparently not meant for this job. I'm beyond frustrated because I am currently working a job that has burned me out. My employers have very little regard for me or my time but bend over backwards for the rest of the staff. I was excited about the idea of working for Sonder. I invested so much time researching this company and I was excited the more I learned. To do all this work and have no idea if I was even turned down for the role is a feeling I'm not sure how to describe. More than anything, I was excited about possibly leaving a company that I've been with for six years and have almost nothing to show for that time. And to be jerked around like this by a company is nothing short of unprofessional. I probably sound crazy writing this very long review, but this is about two or three weeks worth of pent up frustration from someone who has not been able to catch a break during a brutal search for new employment.
