I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Oct 2016
Interview
I submitted my application mid August and played the waiting game along with everyone else. One day, appropriately 4 weeks later, I just so happened to check my spam folder and I had several emails from Southwest asking that I complete a questionnaire and then 10 year work/residence history.
I said that to say be sure and check your spam folder and adjust your mail settings accordingly. I received a call from a recruiter about 3 days later letting me know they would like to conduct a telephone interview. I was told to respond to an email with my availability. I expected to receive another email confirming a time and date. I did NOT. Be prepared for your telephone interview at ANY TIME! My telephone interview was on a Friday and I received a call back the following Tuesday inviting me to f2f in Dallas. So exciting! Best of luck to everyone!

Interview
The in person interview was a wonderful experience to me. I’ve interviewed with Delta and American for flight attendant and I can honestly say, I didn’t feel at ease with them like I did with Southwest. Because of this, I was able to relax. They made me feel like I was talking to a friend or family member. I felt very comfortable.
