      Flight Attendant Interview

      Difficult interview

      I interviewed at Southwest Airlines

      Interview

This is an extremely competitive job so try being unique with your answers and design them to show of your personality/problem solving skills. I applied as soon as the job posting went live and shortly after received a telephone interview with a 3rd party client of SWA. The person mostly asked yes/no questions (for ex. Are you at least 20 years of age?) and then at the end a few interview style questions. I’d definitely wish that SWA stops outsourcing this part of the process since I feel like it’s hard to translate passion with someone who isn’t even part of the company you’re interviewing with. Meaning, there isn’t a great connection (in my opinion). Secondly, you do video interview with a recruiter and another FA which will be the final portion of the interview process. They talk about the company, bases, pay and then ask a lot of interview questions…..be prepared! Once that is done, you’ll be flown out to do reach test, jump seat test and background. Everyone is super friendly so relax and be your true authentic self and don’t sound robotic/rehearsed.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2026

      Interview

The in person interview was a wonderful experience to me. I’ve interviewed with Delta and American for flight attendant and I can honestly say, I didn’t feel at ease with them like I did with Southwest. Because of this, I was able to relax. They made me feel like I was talking to a friend or family member. I felt very comfortable.
