I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Phoenix, AZ) in Mar 2022
Interview
Super positive, laid-back, welcoming! I applied on 09/23 with 20k other people, and it took until 02/22 for me to hear anything. First it was a phone screening with some questions about my experiences with hospitality/customer service, as well as safety/emergency situations. Then was a virtual interview with a recruiter and a current FA. We talked more about the airline specifically, and what I was looking for / why I'm interested. After that, I was invited to the PPST to make sure I met the physical requirements. (I really appreciated them working with me on coordinating the date for that, because the first one was conflicting with a prior commitment!) Ultimately I decided to accept an offer from another carrier, primarily because I want more international opportunities, but man it was a tough call. SWA is an amazing company with tremendous benefits, and I felt cared for even as a candidate.

I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2026
Interview
The in person interview was a wonderful experience to me. I’ve interviewed with Delta and American for flight attendant and I can honestly say, I didn’t feel at ease with them like I did with Southwest. Because of this, I was able to relax. They made me feel like I was talking to a friend or family member. I felt very comfortable.
