I ended the call early and told them to remove my name from consideration because of the poor experience I had. As a recruiter, I believe the initial phone screen is the first impression of a company. If an internal recruiter sounds unhappy, that's a red flag. They didn't explain any details of the role but interrogated me on meaningless questions that doesn't gauge fit. For example, yes I have a degree- if you looked at my resume, you would notice it. But who needs a degree for recruiting?? I surely haven't used it, yet worked at a big tech company. When I asked about what it's like to work there, the recruiter used buzz words and phrases. "They walk the walk and talk the talk", lol what does that even mean?? On top of that, there would've been a 30% pay cut to be in office. Sorry, but I had to hang up.
