Interview
A ten year job history with all your living addresses. Gaps must have decent explanations. Applicants with many job hops and none or few jobs with two years or more in length are not often selected. Referrals from other employees don't get you past the initial round of application because legally we have to ensure you met the basic qualifications first. Applying more than once helps, meaning if People Department (Recruiting) can see you've been trying for a while then they interpret that as a sincere willingness to get on board. Applicants often act silly thinking we hire towards personality but honestly we just want friendly people not ones that don't take an interview seriously. If you feel that you are really desired don't be afraid to leverage your experience into asking for a full time position over a contract one. It can be difficult to get converted to an employee later. You need to make sure the unit that hires you is one with enough funding to afford the head count to convert you.
Also don't hesitate on an open job req. We get more applicants for a single job than most Ivy League schools. The job you're mulling over today may not be an open req tomorrow when you sign back into swajobs.com.

Can you think of a time you provided outrageous customer service?
I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines
Interview
Very laid back interview. Casual, non-technical. Several rounds of interviews that seemed to go really well. They ghosted me for about two months after the interview with no explanation, follow-up or update. After several proactive emails on my part, they finally told me I wasn't a good fit, but didn't elaborate on why.

Question 1
Can you tell us about a time where you had to juggle many responsibilities at once?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Jul 2022
Interview
Several interviews, mix of technical and behavioral interviews. They seem to be really protective of their culture, and it can be difficult to get hired at SWA. If you are deemed a fit in the culture you stand a great chance. Overall it’s not a hard interview process, just be yourself. Don’t be fake or say what they want to hear. They can sift through the bull pretty easily.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX)
Interview
About a week after submitting the application to Southwest, I was sent an email, which provided a self-help link to select my preferred (30-minute) interview timeslot. After selecting it, I was provided an interview confirmation email, which provided further instructions.
The interview was conducted online (using Microsoft Teams).
Two people were interviewing me, which may not be typical. The Talent Acquisition (recruiter) specialist interviewed me along with one of the project leaders within IT.
It lasted the full 30 minutes, and was a very positive experience. Based on their feedback, there's a good chance I might make it to the second interview!
