I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Dec 2015
Interview
Long process but worth the wait!! Dreams really do come true!!
Applied in April 2015, received phone call requesting more info in November 2015. Had my phone interview & F2F interview in early December. The phone interview was very easy and straight forward questions. I always dislike phone interviews because I feel like the interviewer cannot pick up your vibe and vice versa! But it went well.
The F2F interview went great!!!....I was extremely nervous but, everyone made you feel very comfortable and very accomplished for making it so far in the interview process! Interview was about 30 to 45 mins long. There was a small physical portion to be sure you fit in the aisle of the plane, in the jump seat and through the over wing exit.
Received a phone call from one of my interviewers on the 18th to tell me that I would be receiving a COJ after Christmas. Which I thought was extremely sweet because I had been laid off in November and she just wanted me to be able to enjoy my holiday knowing I had a job offer coming!!!
Received my email letter at the end of December and I'm now awaiting the background clearing and training assignment!
Application, ODVI, F2F. All pretty straightforward, emphasize safety and customer service. If they like you, youll get moved onto F2F round. Practice STAR Method and be comfortable talking in front of a camera

I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2026
Interview
The in person interview was a wonderful experience to me. I’ve interviewed with Delta and American for flight attendant and I can honestly say, I didn’t feel at ease with them like I did with Southwest. Because of this, I was able to relax. They made me feel like I was talking to a friend or family member. I felt very comfortable.
