It was mostly getting to know more about my current project and the individual contributions for the project and a simple parsing program and general follow ups to how to improve it. The interview went well, answered everything but there a general feedback after a day that I did not meet the bar.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Splash Financial in Dec 2024
Interview
1st - with recruiter. had a great Clojure conversation with the recruiter Daniel
2nd - moved to pr exercise that was pretty tough but interesting.
Did not get an offer or move to a final but i really enjoyed talking to Daniel and felt like I understood a lot of about company and the role. Hopefully I can try again next year.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Splash Financial in Dec 2024
Interview
1) Chatted on the phone with one of their recruiters (pre screening)
2) Zoom call with the manager of the department which went very well and included a half hour coding exercise where I shared my screen. This also went very well and was told that I did a good job and there weren't any issues.
3) (next day) Received a very generic "... unfortunately, we have decided not to proceed with your candidacy ..." "...as there were applicants that had the experience we were targeting for this position." email -- which doesn't make any sense if I did what was asked and was told that I did a good job.
It would have been nice to receive a more non-generic email since I "made it" this far in their interview process.
I reached back to the person I had the Zoom call with, but have yet to receive a response and I don't expect one.

I won't spoil it for them, but it was a React coding question that should be easy for anyone who is proficient in the language.
