I applied online. I interviewed at Splunk in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview process started with a recruiter screening, which was clear and professional. The subsequent interview with the hiring manager, however, was challenging due to significant communication difficulties. Limited English proficiency made it difficult to understand questions clearly, affecting the overall quality of the discussion.
I would advise the company to review its interviewers and ensure they can conduct effective, clear technical interviews. Improving this aspect would create a much better experience for candidates and help attract strong engineering talent.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk (Hyderābād) in May 2024
Interview
After clearing the first round of Problem solving. the interviewer scheduled the second round for LLD.
I was specifically asked to prepare for LLD by the HR and reminded me of the same every time she called. But, the interviewer didn't asked a single question on LLD, instead he gave me DP Hard level problem and sat on mute the entire 40 mins. Upon sharing my strategy the interviewer was not paying attention and I had to repeat myself every time.
Towards the end of interview I did remind him that I was specifically asked to prepare for LLD and not coding, he didn't said anything.
I didn't get back any response from HR upon sharing my feedback to them.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Typical interview process. Manager interview, 2 coding interviews and 1 system design. All went well and the recruiter said the team loved me and we started talking TC and benefits. My last interview was with the VP. I normally do well on VP type interviews because I am good at talking. This VP was very odd and I felt like she was out to sabotage the interview. She asked me very detailed questions of work I did years ago and acted like she "won" when I couldn't answer in the detail she wanted. I really liked the team but think they will have troubles working for a VP like that. Ultimately, I believe I dodged a bullet by being rejected.

Question 1
Typical medium level questions. The system design was more of a "let talk about random things we run into at this job".
