I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk
Interview
I've interviewed with a lot of companies in my career and this was probably the most disappointing. Went through 3 rounds of interviews and a phone screen, first hiring manager, then 2 team member interviews. All interviews went well and I received positive feedback from each interviewer. After the 3rd interview, I followed up several times with both the recruiter and hiring manager for several weeks with no response.
After reading several interview accounts on here I can see that "ghosting" interviewees is fairly common practice at Splunk. Overall, I decided that a company that makes ghosting their prospective employees common practice doesn't align with my personal values or beliefs and is not one I want to work for.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Splunk (Portland, OR) in Mar 2022
Interview
Applied online and then heard back from a recruiter a month later. Interviews were Recruiter Screen > Hiring Manager > 3 Person Virtual Loop > VP over the next 5 weeks. Mostly behavioral questions. Recruiter did a pretty good job of keeping me informed of timelines and sticking to their word on when I would hear back. The experience was good during the interview process, but ultimately the only feedback I received was that I could not have done anything better and that it was a difficult choice. Ultimately, this made the decision feel arbitrary, and I think companies owe candidates more than that after 5-6 interviews.
