      Marketing Interview

      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Spokeo (New York, NY)

      Interview

Applied online, then Phone screen with a recruiter, then another phone interview with hiring manager and finally in-person interview. Response time was pretty quick, overall. The in-person was a gauntlet of 4-5 panels of 2-3 people from different departments, direct managers and peers. For the amount of questions it felt pretty rushed.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spokeo

      Interview

I applied online and got a response same day for a call with someone in HR. The call went well and they asked if I had another 30 minutes to talk to the hiring manager. I was free, so I spoke to the hiring manager right after. The call with the hiring manager went great. He was super friendly and just wanted to get to know me. I was then asked to come in for a 4 HOUR interview, and it took ALL 4 HOURS! First I met with the “hiring manager” that I spoke to on the phone. I put in quotes because although he was friendly, he didn’t have many questions prepared which made me think he wasn’t the decision maker. After him I met with a few higher up Directors and C level members who weren’t the friendliest. They asked standard questions but their body language the whole time wasn’t pleasant. I met with a pair, then a single person, and finally the CEO. At one point, one of the guys made me analyze something on the board from my current job that hand nothing to do with the role I was applying for, so it took up most of the time. I ended the day meeting with the CEO who was friendly but rushed. I walked out feeling pretty good, and they said they act fast. I should know something the next day or 2 days max. 5 days later I still didn’t hear anything, and followed up via email, only to learn they offered the position to someone else. After hearing the news, I was a bit relieved because the product they offer seems shady, and I don’t if I would have been comfortable working there long term.
