Usual process of recruiter screen. Felt good about the company and was excited to move forward. Recruiter shared the next steps and will follow up. No communication was shared. I had to follow up with the recruiter to inquire what's going on. Out of the blue, I received an update to move forward with the hiring leader. The recruiter booked an appointment to touch base but no-showed without notice. I reached out to reschedule and received no response to my message. The hiring leader interview was completed and during the interview, the hiring leader stated he would like to move forward with the next steps and will follow up with the recruiter to schedule. Again, no response from the recruiter. I followed up, and provided windows of availability. Nothing. This recruiter provided absolutely no communication or follow-up. I would understand if plans changed or if I'm not moving forward. But the definition of "ghosting" was absolutely apparent with Sprouts Farmers Market. All of the "wow, this is how great we are and my TA team is awesome" talk in the initial screening seems like a laugh to me at this point. In the end, I am confident that things happen for a reason and am grateful not to have moved forward with this company if communication (or lack thereof) is what is part of the company culture.
