I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at State Farm (Detroit, MI) in Jun 2016
Interview
I was a little unsure to schedule an interview with this company after reading the reviews on glassdoor and other websites because they were mixed. Well after contacting me for my interview they sent me an email about what day they would call for a phone screening but the person ended up calling me on a totally different day. She claimed that it wasn't that day and it was for today instead, she was supposed to call TWO days ago but kept telling me differently. I told her I got the email from that coworker and that it was not today. She just said "Oh I will call you next Monday then. I said well it was this past Monday you were supposed to call me and politely said "No thanks, it was Monday this week. I decline this position, I hope you have a great day." and then I hung up. VERY unprofessional and unorganized. Don't work for this company.
They were very polite and friendly. I had no issues with how they handled the interview or the questions asked. They were professional and the questions asked were fair and appropriate with follow up showing they were paying attention
I applied in-person. I interviewed at State Farm (Waukegan, IL) in May 2024
Interview
First a call by one of the recruiters. Then interview with one of the employers and later a second interview with another branch employer. On and off calls and visits and in-person interview.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here? How can insurance improve? What do you know about insurance? What is one thing that you have done for someone? What kind of things you do to relax? What are you hobbies?
Quick and simple. The program was easy to use and you had two retakes. The interview website also allowed you to practice some sample questions before beginning the interview, which was very helpful.
