I applied online and got the call for an interview a week after applying. It was a really short and easy interview. They didn't seem to care much about experience either. My manager asked really simple questions mainly about myself and I was essentially hired on the spot. I'm not sure if this is true for every steak n shake location, but my location was understanding of the fact that I am a college student and was willing to work around my schedule. The most difficult question in relation to the others was "why do you want to work at steak n shake"

Show up to the Steak 'n Shake in normal clothes, speak with the manager for several minutes about how willing you are to be dependable and perform job functions. Then show up to do a 40 minute orientation and do some quick quizzes over whatever your job responsibilities will be. Fill out tax forms and then start training for several days. You are guaranteed to get this job.

Met with hiring manager in dining room and was pleasantly surprised by how easy and relaxed the process was. I was offered a job without a second interview pre-condition and I accepted.
