I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
After completing an online application (prescreening) I was emailed what to do for next steps: pick a time slot, prepare a styleboard for a fictitious client, and show up prepared to explain your board. Once I arrived, I was asked to create a personal note to the fictitious client about the board you created. The interview consisted of a getting to know you session with two lead stylists, a skill review identifying what clothing fits into what categories (glam, classic, edgy, boho, etc.), then followed by a few additional styling questions. I received a short and not so sweet rejection email less than 48 hours later and still am unclear why I was passed over. I had four years previous experience styling clients with another company (left on good terms), previous experience working out of my house, met the requirement of committing to at least 15 hours/week of styling, a professional demeanor, and was a previous stitch fix client. The only reason I can come up with is that my "age" did not fit their profile. I honestly believe I was discriminated against because of my age. Until they can inform me what I was lacking, that is what I am going with. I really thought the company was better than this. So disappointed.
