      Associate Buyer Womens Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

One of the worst processes I had ever gone through. I worked for a competitor of the brand ( but less tech) and I created and presented two lines for two separate product categories for them. Overall, I knew I was a bit over qualified for the role and I think they did too but instead of feeling like they were interested in me or they valued me as an interviewee I instead just had the feeling the entire time that they were trying to cherry pick my brain for information to see how other companies work internally so they could emulate them. I presented two presentations in front of a group and I basically heard back from them saying they wanted someone that had more buying experience/ less merchandising. I just felt like they were asking questions that would allow me to give them more information about my companies processes than anything. Granted the company is probably doing well now....I wouldn't really want to ever work for them and will always remember the negative experience I had with them. The interviewees seemed like they could care less in actually learning about me and moreso in how my company worked/ the ideas I could share with them.
