      Stylist Interview

      Aug 10, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Stitch Fix in Jul 2020

      Interview

The first step of the interview process was a styling assignment by email. I was given four customers and had to choose one item for each, and write a short note explaining my choice. Once I passed that step, I was invited for an interview via video chat. Before the chat they gave a second styling assignment, this time using a Pinterest board to curate a Fix for two customers. During the interview, we discussed my choices and the reasoning behind them. I was also asked about my previous job experience and how it would apply to my job as a Stylist. They also wanted to know how I would fit the hours for this job into my schedule. Finally, they asked a few questions about styling specific body types, what concerns the customers may have regarding fit, and how I would accomodate them. Overall, the experience was incredibly positive and I felt that my interviewers really cared about their jobs and were very welcoming. They answered all of my questions very clearly and I am looking forward to working with them in the near future!
