Hr screen call, then one interview with current analyst, one interview with md, final interview with two mds. The questions were really simple, the guys seemed interested in and honestly thought I was a shoe in for the role but then a week later they let me know that the desk had decided it wasn't going to take an intern.
I applied online. I interviewed at StoneX in Jun 2026
Interview
The first round was a breath of fresh air: welcoming, easy-going, and a great break from typical corporate stiffness. However, the initial interviewer admitted they were still figuring out the hiring steps, so, for the second round, the interviewer was changed. The second interview was quite vague, lacking defined questions, and revealed a clear absence of internal structure and creative direction. Realising it wasn't the right fit, I sent a polite email to both HR and the first interviewer (who had explicitly invited further questions) stating why I was withdrawing my application. Neither bothered to reply with even a one-line acknowledgement. Total ghosting after weeks of investment, which I found disappointing, disrespectful, and very rude.
