Storable Payments Operations Program Manager interview questions

Awful!!! I recently interviewed with Storable, and it was hands down one of the strangest interview experiences I’ve ever had. The senior talent manager scheduled a Zoom call so I could show up on camera, as I assumed that was expected, he did have his camera on, making me feel super awkward. He then spent almost the entire 40 minute call talking at me, not with me, reading from what was clearly a script about the company. There was zero genuine dialogue, zero curiosity about my experience, and honestly, zero respect for my time. When I finally managed to speak and asked if he had any questions for me, the only thing he asked was where I lived. Oh, and also that they dropped the salary range by 15k, vastly different than the job posting. That was it. No discussion of my background, no exploration of whether I’d be a fit for the role, just a monologue followed by silence. What was wild is that I worked for a company that had the same very unique business model of owning SaaS products and marketplaces, my experience mirrored the job description to a tee. If this is how Storable approaches hiring, I can only imagine how disconnected things must be internally. Interviews should be two-way conversations that assess both skill and culture fit, not infomercials. I left the call with the impression that they weren’t actually looking for talent, just compliance with a script. According to the hiring manager, I am still “in consideration” for the next round of interviews. Insert eye roll emoji here. Please remove me from consideration for this role! This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and in the meantime, I have been hired by a company that actually communicates and recognizes what an asset I would for them! I implore HR at Storable to pull the Zoom recording of the interview and review it. Is this how you want your company to be represented? This was by far the worst interview experience I have ever had, and that is saying A LOT!
