I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
My interview experience at Stripe was one of the most well executed processes I've experienced. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and I was never left hanging for more than a day or two after each round about where I stood. If only all companies could be like them!
Steps were 1. Phone screen with a recruiter 2. Written assignment of scenario questions that you have to write responses to 3. Onsite interviews in San Francisco where I met with several people over a three-hour period. Be warned, they do not serve you a meal at the onsite even though it said they would, so make sure to eat before.
I was not given an offer, which came as a surprise to me. However, I was given direct feedback from the hiring manager about the reasoning behind their decision, which makes more sense to me now. They are very particular about who they are looking for and place a huge emphasis on culture fit and professionalism.
Had a brief 30 minute "behavioral" phonically interview. A couple days later I got an email saying they were not moving forward. I did not get any real feedback on why I was not selected to move on to the next round.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Stripe (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2022
Interview
I applied through the stripe site and was contacted within a few days to set up an interview through a scheduling tool- the interviewer ended up having to reschedule just prior to our meeting, but we did finally connect.
Initial interview was pretty basic with general questions, the interviewer was personable and gave me a take home test consisting of composing answers to a series of emails to be completed in three business days.
I was not able to submit my test to the link provided as it was no longer active after 1 day, so I emailed it to the recruiter as indicated if there were issues submitting and have not heard from them since.
Stripe seemed like an interesting place to work, but the recruiting process leaves a bit to be desired.
