I only made it to the screening process, but it was set up as a mock interview. The HR contact called 5 minutes late and told me not to be too detailed with my answers. This, combined with my mindfulness of there only being 25 minutes left, I kept my answers as brief as possible. When I asked for feedback, the HR rep then told me that my answers weren’t specific enough and that that likely will result in me not hearing back, so they essentially set me up for failure from the start.
I’m honestly glad though—I learned that there were at least four other interview stages with various stakeholders and then a 1-week project and presentation... a lot of time and free work to potentially still not end up in the role.
