      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Stripe (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2021

      Interview

Believe the reviews. Had an initial phone screen with a recruiter who seemed distracted and admittedly was doing other things while we spoke. He asked me general questions and went into depth about the company and role. The conversation ended with him saying he will put me forth to the next step as well as send a written assignment. Two days later I get a generic email saying after reviewing my application I wasn’t a good fit. 1. You didn’t review my application and come to that conclusion, you called and spoke to me. 2. I work in recruitment and if someone takes time to speak to me and I say im going to do something (like push them to the next round) I follow up with an email right away. 3. Do not send generic emails to people you have spoken to, have the decency to compose an email yourself of give the person a call. Definitely dodged a bullet if this is how their recruiters treat other recruiters. This particular gentleman has to be the worst recruiter ever. Your training program needs to teach you as well as the people you hore better practices. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH INTERVIEWING HERE!

The interview process started with a phone screen, followed by a mock intake, culture interview, and ended with a department leader interview.
