I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
apply online, phone screen, onsite interview all day. Everyone is really friendly there, but it seems like they were all spitballing questions that they hadn't thought out and had somewhat of an arrogant attitude, because they had a lot of applicants. Not to be bitter or anything because I didn't get it, I'm happy I got the opportunity and think the company is going places, but I just got that vibe. They also have this weird policy where every email you send can be read by other people at the company. They try to spin it as transparency, but it feels more like a lack of trust, which I didn't like.
Normal process of a few rounds of speaking to different people. What sets them aside is that they “ghost” you when it’s all over with. You go to lengths to prepare for these interviews to be met with silence by the Recruitor. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are my strengths/weaknesses? Why I had gaps? My sales experience?
Recruiter screen super positive, but peer account executive interview was surprising. When you hear the product feedback loop is largely informal/personal and relationship based with product managers. I’m curious how the team plans to scale those insights as the head-count grows. It might be the Account Executive wasn't aligned on Stripe.
