I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Stripe in Dec 2023
Interview
Received an email asking me to schedule a time for an initial interview. At the scheduled time, I joined the call and the interviewer never showed up. I reached out to the recruiter who initially emailed me to see if the interviewer needed to reschedule and I received no response. I get the sense that the whole process was automated, I'm not sure any human was actually involved at any point.
Got the standard HR screening and an interview with a hiring manager. Then was given a take home case assignment. They said it would take <8 hours; it ended up taking nearly double that. A lot of time was spent trying to open their data files (given in 1m+ row Excel files). You synthesize and write a proposal document to submit for review.
sql, take home test with coding, stats. mixture of different assessments all in one day.
task related to modelling of customer spend freqency/churn, was also asked about competencies, and ab testing.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Stripe (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2025
Interview
I had a screening call with a senior, turned out he’s not the hiring manager. Then, I had a take home assignment. Then, they just told me that there’s no team that matches with me, and I just have to wait.
