The first two stages of the interview process went exceptionally well. The recruiter was helpful and prompt, ensuring a smooth experience. The first interviewer was professional, pleasant, and asked the questions I had been instructed to prepare for, making the conversation engaging and structured.
For the third round, I was asked to prepare a presentation and submit it 24 hours prior to my interview for a debriefing. The interview was originally scheduled with two interviewers, but only one was available. Unfortunately, this interviewer was noticeably rude and unprofessional. Before I even began my presentation, her demeanor was dismissive and uninterested. When she initially asked if I had any questions, I started to ask one, but she abruptly cut me off, stating we would address them at the end.
Surprisingly, she did not even prompt me to present—I had to take the initiative, informing her that I would begin and share my screen. It became evident that she had not thoroughly reviewed my presentation, despite the effort I put into it. As she flipped through a printout of the slides, she appeared to be searching for something to ask. While I had been advised to prepare for multiple discussion points, she only asked one question related to the presentation. Even as I answered, she displayed impatience, nodding her head in a way that suggested she wanted me to hurry up. I am ok with not being selected but certainly don't want to be treated unfairly in the process.
