I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Subway
Interview
Friendly and casual interview. The interviewer responded with their own answers to the questions so it felt more like a conversation.
Was contacted after interview as a "shortlisted" applicant to attend a short trial/training. Learnt how to make sandwiches, serve customers and prep food. Was later contacted with hiring results.
Pros:
- friendly interview
- learn about processes etc before job offer
Cons:
- long process, took about 3 weeks from application to hiring results (applying -> interview invitation -> interview -> interview results/training invitation -> training -> hiring results)
Easy process. Overall easy going job but low pay and can be busy at times. Created great friendships with the boss and a few co workers since most of the time there was only two people there
I interviewed at Subway (Barnsley, South West England, England)
Interview
I was sat down and asked questions about myself in a possible manner in the middle of the restaurant as people dined around me. I was then instructed to cut bread so they could see how well I could do.
Easy flow, face to face and they are quite patient with you. The manager are understanding if it's your first time and let you through the flow of the process
