Found Summit through a recruiter, had an initial phone interview with one of the managers there then went to the office for in-person interviews. I met with a total of 6 people. They all seemed bright and enthusiastic about the work. I had a very positive view of the company at this point. After over 2 weeks, I finally got word through the recruiter that they went with someone else. I was fine with this, but then less than a week later I was told they liked me and wanted a technical writing piece. I sent this and then never heard back from them, nor did the recruiter. Overall, the process started out positive and organized and then ended completely disorganized and rude. I got the sense that the current employees are over-stretched due to procurement of several new contracts. While I understand this could cause delay, I still expected to hear something from them and did not appreciate the mixed signals.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Summit Consulting (Washington, DC) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied for the position online. Spoke with a hiring manager/recruiter over the phone who touched on company culture, the type of person they want in each role, and the interview process. The recruiter was very informative on Summit and passionate about working there. One of the more pleasant and professional experiences I've had working with a recruiter.
In person, I had three different interviews with people in the Financial Modeling sector of the company. They were all very laid-back and personable, while still asking professional questions. The questions were not very behavioral, and they seemed actually suited for the job. They're primarily looking for someone who can do consulting, but has an analytical background.
It was quite clear that they all seem to enjoy their working environment. The office design (and location) was very similar to that of a start-up. Very retro/modern aesthetic with things like a pool table and beer fridge.
