Interview
I am a hiring manager at Sunglass Hut. This post is to help you, incoming candidates, with the interview process. What we look for in new candidates is the following; energy, personal hygiene, professionalism, and some knowledge of the brands we carry and own. Dress to impress and be full of energy and be able to have fun. If you can't have fun with the customers, you are not what we are looking for. You need to be a knowledgeable as a sales associate and also be able to just have fun with the customer and get to know them. Also be prepared to give examples of you exemplary customer service.
Once you make it past the interview, you will most likely be given a try out. The best advice I can give you for this stage is have an energy drink before coming in. What the managers look for is your ability to INVITE the customers in to the store, be able to ENGAGE with them and learn a little about them, then be able to INTERACT and find them something they will love. If you can successfully make it to the ENGAGE phase, you are hired.
Sunglass Hut is a great company to work for and offers A LOT of growth opportunities. Just remember to have fun and be energetic.
Good Luck!!!

Interview
The process was really smooth with the manager. They essential asked a couple things about myself and gave a run down about the company. They also let me know some things about themselves and about the team they have already.
Asked about experience, situational questions (was there ever a time where), if I'm interested in fashion, and register skills. Then the second in person part was role playing approaching a customer, giving advice, and testing a little knowledge about sunglasses like shapes and color theory.
