Telephone interview. 30 minutes from a women overseas. HR women was fairly nice but robotic. Why ICAP, why broker, why broking over sales and trading, time you've challenged someone's decision, time shown innovation, half of 99, time you've taken risk, ICAP competitors, Has ICAP joined forces with any competitors recently, What’s the difference between voice and low-touch/electronic brooking, ICAP in the news, Markets news, 3 words to describe your personality, What country issues the Bund/JPG/Gilt/Treasuries, Name 3 OTC products ICAP deals in (Interest rate Swaps, OTC currency futures, OTC stock/currency options I think), Example of when you used good networking skills to achieve something, A time you experienced change and had to adapt, A time you showed innovation and did something differently to solve a problem, A time you showed integrity (with a university peer, manager or colleague), Name some electronic platforms that ICAP use (EBS and BrokerTec)
AC: Bloomberg trading game - basically just news story screen where you have to do very quick currency conversions. SHL numerical test. Group project - have to pitch why investor should use ICAP for particular asset class. Make sure you take active part but aren't too loud. Being time keeper is a good idea.
Interview - with HR and someone from random desk. Very conversational. They tell you about role. Ask why ICAP, why broker, why your course, which role interested in (be flexible), why your personality suits role, future of voice broking, challenges for ICAP under new regulation. - Similar questions to in telephone interview.
