I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TRANZACT (Richardson, TX) in Jul 2023
Interview
I applied online, and received information for an interview. Address was a hotel, which was strange but I went. Was sent to a job fair where I had to resubmit all of the information I had already sent in. Sat through a group presentation where they talk about life as a sales agent. They bragged that this job had no cold calling.
Was put in another room to wait to be interviewed. The interview came to get me, and we sat down at a table to talk about the job. She did not even bother looking up from her phone/laptop to make eye contact with me once. Laughed when I offered her my resume (apparently they don’t expect people to bring them) Interviewer couldn’t have been any less interested in talking to me, but I needed a job so I tolerated her right back. They rush you into onboarding because they need people to get licensed. This company doesn’t need employees. They want warm bodies in chairs. The other interviewers I overheard (we were all in a room together) sounded engaged and actually talking to the potential employees, so maybe I just got unlucky. Please note there’s a licensing process and if you don’t pass it you don’t get the job but it’s easy if you show up.
First day of work, we are not even put into a sales agent position. We are immediately thrown into cold calling people, which is exactly what they said we wouldn’t be doing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Generic explanations of what the job was, no real questions. It’s a very “take it or leave it. We just need people on the phones” vibe.
Great interview process management seemed very passionate and had over 10 plus years of experience. Made me feel good about transferring over to another company. Explained pay structure, work schedules and expectations clearly.

Question 1
What is one task or obstacle did I have to overcome and how did I do it ?
it's a easy process then you have to go to a week training pass the insurance test then start another week of training once your actually job begins then a month process of answering phones before you really start
It was a mass hiring event starting in about June where I waited about 1.5 hours before an interview in a room with the other potential candidates. The actual interview was very basic with nothing about me as a person.
