I got approached by a recruiter which forwarded my CV onto Taboola. This was followed by a 40 min telephone interview with the hiring manager about my experience. At the end, the hiring manager told me that I might not be senior enough for this role, however they will consider me for another role of account manager and would like to invite me for an interview. I discussed this with the recruiter and he confirmed the hiring manager said Taboola would have another role available. For the face to face interview, they sent me a assignment which consisted of a client data set with the task to prepare a Quarterly review meeting presentation, present the data and explain interdependencies between metrics and sell a new product to them as well. The presentation took 30 minutes followed by questions and a 1:1 interview with another peer. After the interview, they gave me the feedback that I am not senior enough for the client partner role (which I knew in the first place) and that they do not have budget for this other role they claimed to be available. This was a real shame as I have spent time on the presentation and to go for a face to face interview for a role they did not consider me anyways. I feel they only invited me as backup option, but I never had a real chance which is not professional and a good use of my time. It also speaks for Taboola as employer.
