      Customer Support Specialist Interview

      Oct 19, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at TailorMed

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter who said she wanted to “meet”. There was no salary range provided and when I responded with days and times and inquiring what the cap was, she advised they would move in a different direction. 1) Definitely provide a range in discussion if you are going to ask people to come in to meet you during a global pandemic. Risky and potentially a waste of time. 2) Don’t ask to “meet” people in person during a global pandemic! Why not a phone interview or zoom call? Also if that’s what you meant by “meet” then that should have been specified. The ambiguity was just annoying and you are attracting ambiguous prospects with that sort of recruiting process.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TailorMed (New York, NY) in Oct 2025

      Interview

I received an email requesting availability for an interview. I provided my time on greenhouse and submitted. I was then scheduled for an interview, and the day of that interview, the recruiter rescheduled 7 minutes before we initially were supposed to meet. Yeah... red flag there. Two days later, I finally met the recruiter all went well, where I was scheduled to move on to the second round of the interview process. The second interview was with the Customer Support Manager. It went really well, normal questions, introduction, tell me about a time, tell me how you would implement new workflows, etc. I felt like I did a good job. The questions were easy, straight to the point, and not as challenging. I even made a great impression with my work ethic, so much so that I was complimented on my approach and ideas during my scenario responses. The Customer Support Manager was really personable and easy to talk to. I received an email with an update letting me know they are pursuing other candidates at this time. That's a bunch of BS since the job posting is still up and I interviewed with them at the beginning of the month; it's now the 31st and the position isn't filled. I don't think they're really hiring; it seems the vibe is -we'll keep your resume on file for when we actually do hire.
