Recruiter did the interview. I should have known it would be a subpar experience based on how the recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn (subject of the message, just not professional). We had a 10min conversation where she said the hiring manager was not finding the right candidates, they were more operations focused, where I would be a possible great fit because I am strategy-focused. We then got to salary. My number was too high for them, understandable, however she hung up on me so quickly after that it was rude and left me shocked. If it was that much of a line in the sand it should have been part of the initial outreach or first part of the conversation, rather than waste both of our time.
