The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tapcheck (New York, NY)
Interview
Several video interviews with various members of the org. All relatively straight forward. Was asked to present a rather indepth plan to the key stakeholders as a final stage of the process. I clarified that certain elements were not possible given the very limited info the company provided. The recruiter noted we were are aligned on expectations. After presenting the immediate question were around the exact topics I had clarified days prior wasn't possible and they had agreed to. They reluctantly agreed with my rationale (you can't create a full plan with only maybe 3 data points) and would get back to me...maybe with actual useable data. That was 3+ weeks ago. No contact from them since.
Giant waste of my time, wasn't professional or demonstrated even a basic candidate experience. If someone invests 10+ hours into a process, at least provide clear directions on projects and some minimal candidate comms after the presentation.
2 thumbs down.. and seems well aligned with every other Glassdoor review for other candidates.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tapcheck
Interview
Their HR recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and though the questions throughout the process were easy, there were way too many red flags. First there were only two interviews, one with HR and the hiring manager, and they wouldn't let me meet with the rest of the team. Both seemed kind of like a hard sales pitch about how wonderful the company was. When they made me an offer, the salary was well below what we had discussed and it was an exploding offer that would expire in 24 hours. The offer also stated no paid holidays or benefits until after a probation period. I started looking online and it seems from LinkedIn, people are only at the company a few months before quitting. The Glassdoor reviews seem fake too with a few buried reviews calling out the fake ones. Make sure when they ask for salary expectations, you ask what their market rate is-they are based in California, so they are legally obligated to tell you and it should be in the job description anyways. They'll likely lowball you so you can walk away pretty quickly.
